About the Parish

The present church was completed in 1895

The Parish of Strabane (Camus) takes its name from a meander in the river Mourne which provided a perfect setting for the ancient church.

The present church, a building of great merit, was completed in 1895. A substantial number of the parishioners reside in the town of Strabane but a wide country area adds another dimension and variety to a vibrant community.
